Female
It was around the end of July '99 where I surfing the net on a Sunday and an Instant
Message appears on my screen. I reply to the message and I see that this guy and I have
few things in common here and there. He reveals that he lives near the city I live in and
asks me for a picture. So we exchange pictures and he responds, saying I am the prettiest
thing he's seen. I don't accept compliments too well so I automatically don't believe him.
He begs to meet me and the next day, we meet at a park nearby my apartment. We barely
talked because of the many friends I brought in case I need to "CYA" (referring
to the Safe
Cybersex article in this website). Then, four days from that day, he comes back and
just wants to wander around with me, sort of hang out. That day, we had several
"first date" kisses and we agree to see each other five days from then. In five
days, everything was moving so quickly and I was letting it all happen. He had asked me
out, and I said yes. He kept insisting we go "all the way" and I was hesitant on
my answer most of the time, but always ended at no. The next day, he called to break up
with me. I was devastated. I thought I had fallen in love with him and that I couldn't
live without him. After a few weeks, he returned to see me and after awhile, after much
thinking and advice, I realized that he had used me for his own little sexual fantasy. I
didn't even want to see him and I thought that I would never be able to get over him and
his hurtful ways. Well, four months later, we're nothing but bickering friends at each
other's throats and it's probably better this way than to have stayed in a crumbling
relationship.
